Dorothy (Pond) Lumsden, 98, a longtime resident of Marlborough, died Monday, May 17, 2010. She was the wife of James Lumsden, who passed away in 1996. Mrs. Lumsden was a homemaker and enjoyed baking and crocheting. She was affectionately known as Nanny to her 13 grandchildren and Great Nanny to her 23 great-grandchildren. Dorothy took great joy spending time with them all. In addition to her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren she is survived by four daughters, Joan Robida of Albuquerque, N.M., and her late husband, Paul, Marjorie McAuliffe of Dennisport and Greenacres, Fla., and her late husband, Thomas, Janet Caron and her husband, Jacques, of Marlborough, and Janice Brailey and her husband, William, of Boynton Beach, Fla. Funeral service will be private and burial will be in Rural Cemetery in Southborough. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Alzheimer's Association , 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
