Frank POND - ran locomotive on PRESIDENT LINCOLN'S TRAIN

I am part of a group of researchers who are trying to collect info on all the War of 1812 & the Civil War Veteran's of Monroe Co., WI

One of our veteran's is Frank POND b. MAY 8, 1841 at Hartsgrove, OH. He fired the Reindeer in its run to take Lincoln to Washington & piloted the North Crown which returned Lincoln's body to Springfield for burial. We are looking for his wife's name & his parents names and the dates & places of their births & deaths. Any help you can give will be greatly appreciate.

We are fortunate to have funding for our book and can include photos and all letters/diaries, etc. that pertain to the War. If you have such and would like to share, please let us know.

If you have any info on these men, or if you believe that any info I sent you is incorrect, please let me know. Pictures, etc would be very welcome.

My e-mail if MStaton@Tomah.com.

Thank you. Marcia
