Thank you for sharing your information. The Ida Swygert I have was married to George Ponds on March 23, 1888 in Morrilton, Conway County, Arkansas. Ida was born in SC in 1875. I don't know if that's the same Ponds family. George's wife was born in 1875 in SC. They were parents of two sons, John Ernest and Thomas P. I don't know what happened to Ida. George is buried in Arkansas according to his family but not in Oddfellows and Ida was not there either. The only Swygerts in Morrilton were Hannibal and a daughter Isabelle who don't appear either before or after the 1900 census. There was an African American Swygert in 1870 with a wife named Isabella at Gilbert Hollow Post Office, Lexington County. He had a daughter named Ida (age 2) and daughters Molly, Nelly and a son named E.R. I am so confused with all the people with the same name. There were also Davenports in the Ponds and Davis Families in Conway County. They were also from SC. Are you related to them?

Maggie Ponds
