Michael and Frances Ponds SC 1880s
Posted by: Maggie Ponds

I'm looking for information about my great-great grandparents, Michael or Mark and
Frances Ponds who lived in Lexington County, SC, Gilbert Hollow Township in
1880. Their children were: Alice (who may have been a Sawyer)George, Bascom, Elizabeth
(Lizzie), Thomas, Mary, Estelle, and Crumwell. There was also a Ponds who was enumerated with
the Addy family. However I could find no Ponds in the 1870 census..
Alice married Richard Boozer before they moved to Arkansas. Bascom (my great-grandfather)
married an Ida Armstead. George married Ida Swagert. Thomas married Minnie Lee Curtis. I have
searched census records, placed queries, begged for information. Do any of you have any idea who
the Ponds family could have been and where they could have been? I am trying to finish a family
history before our reunion next year and I am completely baffled. Any assistance would certainly be
appreciated.

Blessings
