update:Troy pons (sargeant) was not in building. He was sent for "help" & has not been heard from by the survivors
since October 1944.. Was he killed in battle? Captured? Transferred to another company? Did he survive the war? He would be about 80 years of age if still living. My father was in K Company with him & still wonders what happened to hi, after all these years. Sgt Pons was originially from Silver Springs, Florida. Thank you for any help you can give.
