Cynthia, The spelling of our last names are the same. My grandparents immigrated from Spiligna, Calabria. My grandfather's name was Giacomo Pontoriero. I'm sure we must be related down the line. I will check to see if any of my grandfather's siblings also came to America ( I don't think so) I know my grandmother's family did. There are many Pontoriero's in the N.J. area.
