Jane Poole Avera (various spellings) -- Lewis connection
there are connections between the Poole and lewis family.
for example, we believe that Joan Pool - a great grandaughter of Jane Pool Avera (and first husband John Poole) married a Lewis.
also, the names appear on each other's legal documents: eg
1750 Eliz City Will of Thomas Poole, was witnessed by John Lewis.
I have no information on where Jane was buried-- but some related families have tombstones in the St Johns Chruchyard in downtown Hampton VA (eg Lattimer and Copeland ... Jane's maiden name could possibly be Copeland) also, the land Thomas Poole got from his mother Jane Avera is said to be at the end of what today is Grunland Drive.
I am trying to figure out the John Poole / Jane Avera line and would be most interested in exchanging information with you.
