Lawrence Pooler/Laurent Poulin b. 1809 Canada
I am trying to break a brick wall concerning the parentage of my 3G-grandfather John Pooler b. 1838 Canada and I think I may have a possibility in Lawrence and Rose Pooler. They are listed in the 1850 census of Solon, Somerset, Maine.Lawrence was born 1809, Canada and Rose also born in 1809 but Ireland. They had lots of children, including a son named John that I think is the John I am looking for.
The reason I think that the John Pooler that I am looking for is this John Pooler, son of Lawrence, is because John names HIS first son John L. Pooler and until my father there is always a generation with a son that carries a middle initial "L" or, in the case of my grandfather, middle name "Lawrence".
Might be grasping at straws.....Yvonne mentioned in one post a Lawrence Pooler being AKA Laurent Poulin.I tried to email her but the email came back as failed.Anyone have more info on Laurence/Laurant that they could share?
Thanks!
