Here's the information that I have on Thomas Poor.
Thomas Poor was born in Goochland County on 20 March 1756.He served in the Revolutionary War, first in the Virginia Militia, then in the 9th Virginia Regiment, Continental Army.He was at Valley Forge and in the battles of Brandywine, Monmouth, White Plains, West Point and Yorktown.Thomas was wounded at Yorktown, where he witnessed the surrender. He married Frances Mathews in Goochland County on 8 March 1785.They had a son named Thomas Poor.
I have info on his brother and sisters, as well as his parents, grandparents, and a tiny bit on his great grandparents.
He is also listed in a publication of the Society of the Descendants of Washington's Army at Valley Forge.which states that for membership application and/or inquiry, write
Deputy Commissary General

Good Luck!
