Hi Beverly ,
Thank you for your response. My Catherine Poorman was born Sept, 3,1782 d. Nov. 3,1871 in Lancaster,Pa. She married Christopher Shanck (aka, Christopher Shank, Christopher Shonck, Christopher Schonck, Stophel Schonck)in 1802 in Lancaster,Pa. They had 7 children and lived in Mt. Joy Pa.

Christopher Shanck was b.Jan. 20,1782 d. Nov 3, 1825. He was the son of Christophr Shank and Margaretha. Since Christopher died at an young age it is my believe that Catherine Poorman's brother, Henry Poorman , took one of Catherine's children to raise...that being Veronica Shank who was mentioned in Henery's will.

It is Henry Poorman's will that has tied my Catherine Poorman Shank to him as his sister. Since Catherine's husband Christopher was mentioned as his brothe-in -law and the fact Veronica (Fanny) Shank was mentioned as his niece who he raised.

If Henry Poorman was the son of Peter Poorman Sr....would not Catherine have been Peter Poorman Sr.'s daughter? I have not found any researchers who have included my Catherine as a Daughter to Peter Poorman....but the will of Henry Poorman sure points to that probability.

Would love your feed back !
