I will have to do some searching of my POORMAN records to see how your Catherine connects. I know my Mary Ellen Poorman, dau of Jacob Poorman had a sister Catherine, but the husband was not the same. Our Jacob , a farmer and Blacksmith of Youngstown, Westmoreland Co, PA, was the son of Peter Poorman who moved to Unity Twp. from Lancaster Co, PA after the Rev. War. Peter served as a Minuteman from Londonderry Twp, of Lancaster (now in Dauphin Co, near Hershey, PA). Peter was a son of an elder Peter, who was a son of George POORMAN/PURMAN/BURMAN, the immigrant from Germany to Lancaster, PA. So, surely your Catherine fits in the line somewhere. there were many sons of Peter (the younger) and they all named children the same.
