Thank so much Randy... the info was just the piece I was looking for... I too am descended from William Henry Barton and his wife Caroline Rebecca Pooser... my paternal grandfather was Earl Rushton Barton... I am cousin to Jo Anne Stowe whose website I am sure you are familiar with... and so you and I must be cousins also... my husband has security issues with the internet so I used a pseudonym... I'm embarrassed that I did, though.

Question: now that I have Thomas Barton b abt 1788 plugged in as father to Wm Henry b. abt 1820... where is the evidence for Wm born 1765 father for Thomas? Did you make the subsequent progression to Thomas m. Sarah Wilson and onto John of Barton-in-the-Beans England? Do you have siblings for Thomas b abt 1788? [see what happens when you give some people information, they want a truckload!] Seriously, I would like to correspond with you regarding the Barton line-- please contact me at Thanks again for all the info on Poosers...
