David POPLIN of NC/OH/IN/IA

I am trying to determine the parents and origins. of David Poplin. He was born in 1807 in North Carolina. From the 1810 census, his probable father was Henry Poplin, listed in
Montgomery and Chatham co NC. David was next found in 1830-1836 in Hamilton co Ohio, Delhi twp
and in 1836 moved to Putnam co IN. There was also a Benjamin Poplin in the 1830 census in Hamilton co OH, Delhi twp who may have been a brother. There are land records in the 1820s for Nicholas and Andrew Poplin in Cinncinnati - Nicholas is later found in Harrison co IN. I would like to know where these Poplins were from prior to Ohio David married Charlotte McKinney (place unknown) prior to 1830.
If you have any information, please contact me at my email.
