Lisa, I am searching for information on my Poplins. My grandmother's grandmother was Elizabeth Poplin, born in approx. 1840, maybe in Missouri. In 1850, she was living with her widowed mother, also named Elizabeth Poplin (unknown maiden name) in the household of Armanias Poplin, 25 his wife Mary, age 18, and their daughter Marth, 4 1/2, in Carroll County, Arkansas.Elizabeth Sr., Armanias, and Martha were all born in North Carolina. By 1860, Elizabeth Jr. had married my grandmother's grandfather, William Washington Weaver, and her mother lived with them, still in Carroll County.I haven't found Armanias before or after 1850.Do you have any information on these Poplins? Please write me at [email protected] Gordon
