James Alston Poplin is my g grandfather...his son George C. Poplin is my grandfather. While I do not have the complete answers at this time, I would like to correspond with you. this research on these Poplin lines are so very complicated and many undocumented lineages are presented on the internet and otherwise. because dates might fall within a certain range, it does not prove connections and should not be shown as a true lineage....rather, perhaps as speculations. I do have a picture of James Alston. My Mother was a "pack-rat" saved everything...and therefore there are many treasures from her family.
I look forward to, perhaps exchange and, or, discussion on the Poplin lineage. Regards, K. M. Menard at kadon@bellsouth.net
