Lawrence POPP Minnesota - Iowa - Wisconsin 1920-1864
I have built a house of cards ancestry line for my wife's grandfather; I find Lawrence Popp age 24, b. Iowa, ma. Anna P in the 1920 Worth Co. Iowa census, Lincoln Twsp, I KNOW her grandfather was a Lawrence Popp and her grand mother Anna Paulin Cholick's birtdate is 11 Jun 1895. Living with them is one Martha Popp Sister age 18, b. Iowa.
In 1900 Union Twsp, Worth Co. IA I find John b. Wisconsin 1864 & Katie Popp with several children including
"Clarence" b. Jul 1895. In 1910 same place a mostly illegible family group that matches child for child with the above 1900 group and "appears" to have a child Martha age 8 and additional children that also match John's family in 1920 (Kate having passed on after birth of 13th child at age 44) but does not contain either Clarence or Lawrence or any child of age that matchs. If Lawrence or Clarence is in the 1910 Census I am unable to find him. Working backward then I find a John age 6 in the 1870 Milwaukee Wisconsin Census. In 1880 this family includes Mother-in-law Getta Barven whose burial I have located and I believe his sisters Bertha and Mary are Servants still in Milwaukee in 1880. This is my house of cards, anyone able to add glue or bring it down around my ears either way will be appreciated.
