JOS. POPPLE c.1870?
Posted by: Joyce Date: March 17, 2002 at 11:32:31

Does anyone out there have a Joseph POPPLE in their research? I have an old silver pitcher bearing the inscription "From JOS. POPPLE In Memory Of His FATHER May 1870". I found it in a yard sale years ago and was getting ready to put it in the flea market but decided to try to find an "owner". The piece stands 13' tall, of which 3" are a skirted base. It has a lid and is of a fluted design. The bottom is marked 44 in a diamond-shape, 6338, and two other marks I cannot decipher. If anyone knows anyone who may be intesested in this old piece, please feel free to contact me at appleditch@webtv.net. Thanks.
Joyce
