Great article. I read it years ago when it was published in some small southern Georgia town's newspaper. But everytime I read something about our "roots", I get a different answer. I've read that the POPPELL, POPWELL, POPPLE, POPPEL, POPP, and other spellings are all the same family. Is this true? And I heard that we're originally from Holland, England, Denmark, and so on. Does anyone REALLY know where the POPPELL's originated?

Thanks,
