I'm sorry to respond to the Family Reunion entry but it seemed the only way to contact you.

I'm interested in information about a RICHARD, WILLIAM and GEORGE POPWELL of Sumter Co., SC in 1800, 1810 and 1820 censuses. Do you know anything about these fellows or could you point me in the direction of someone who might?

According to a DNA test, my "Byrd" ancester wasn't really a Byrd at all but rather a Popwell, descended from a John and William Poppell in early Cheraw Dist., SC.
