Kit and all, Do you ever find the name spelled Popley? I have a s of James HARRIS b abt 1700 Bristol (?) England named Nathan POPLEY HARRIS 1759 - 1763 and am trying to find where this name came from. The HARRIS' lived in Elizabeth NJ and this name - a possible misspelling of POPPLE - may have come from one of James' wives - names unknown. The name is given one of James' grsons too. Any suggestions? Betsey
