Jaimon Doan
Jaimon Wayne Doan, infant son of Michelle Doan of San Angelo, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2000, at his residence.

Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Johnson's Funeral Home.

Jaimon was born Oct. 25, 1999, in San Angelo.

Survivors include his mother; a sister, Ceadi Doan of San Angelo; his grandparents, Wayne and Rebecca Adams and David and Regina Daniels; his great-grandparents, Floyd Morse and Julius and Janet Daniels; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.


Burlie Wood
COLEMAN - Burlie Ralph Wood, 73, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2000, at his residence.

Service will be at 2 p.m. today in Walker Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Coleman City Cemetery.

He was born Nov. 24, 1926, in Brown County and was a longtime resident of California before moving to Coleman in November 1999. A Navy veteran of World War II, he worked as a roofing contractor and was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Viola Wood of Pleasant Hill, Calif.; three sons, David Wood of Coleman, Rickey Wood of Pleasant Hill and Tommy Wood of Stockton, Calif.; two sisters, Ruby Sanges of Coleman and Shirley Jenkins of Big Spring; a brother, Herbert Wood of Coleman; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.


Gladys Holcombe
MONAHANS - Gladys Holcombe, 72, died Friday, Jan. 7, 2000, at her residence.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. today in Monahans Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are by Harkey Funeral Home.

She was born Oct. 27, 1927, in Rule and was a longtime resident of Monahans. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, H.D. ``Cotton'' Holcombe of Monahans; two daughters, Janice King of Baytown and Carolyn Poston of Breckenridge; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.


Jimmie Lane
MONAHANS - Jimmie Lane, 71, died Friday, Jan. 7, 2000, in a local care center.

Service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Shiloh Baptist Church with burial in Monahans Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are by Harkey Funeral Home.

She was born March 25, 1928, in Hills County and was a longtime resident of Monahans. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.

Survivors include six sons, Frank Lane Jr. of Lufkin, Albert McAfee and Gregory Weaver, both of Monahans, Alfred McAfee of Sunray, Delbert Thompson of Sacramento, Calif., and Frank Darnel Lane of Fort Hood; two daughters, Ida Berry and V.J. Willis, both of Monahans; two brothers, James H. Washington of Houston and Claude F. Washington of Amarillo; two sisters, Tenne Mae Batley of Houston and Ida Mae Walker of Wink; 32 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.


Elsie Franz
FREDERICKSBURG - Elsie Pfeister Franz, 96, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2000, in a local nursing home.

Service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Schaetter Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Greenwood Cemetery.

She was born Sept. 6, 1903, in Gillespie County. She was a school teacher and a homemaker.

Survivors include a son, Melvin Franz of Canyon Lake; a sister, Lillie Pearce of Fredericksburg; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.


Vida Perry
GOLDTHWAITE - Vida M. Perry, 87, of Goldthwaite died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2000, in a Brownwood hospital.

Service will be at 1 p.m. today in Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Center City Cemetery.

She was born Oct. 4, 1912, in Mills County and was a lifetime resident. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.

Survivors include her husband, Bernard Perry of Goldthwaite; a son, Larry Perry of Brownwood; two sisters, Orabelle Jones of Goldthwaite and Susie Stevens of Brownfield; two grandchildren; a great-grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.


Pearl Wilson
SANTA ANNA - Pearl L. Wilson, 84, of Santa Anna died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2000, in a Coleman nursing home.

Service will be at 1 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church with burial in Santa Anna Cemetery. Arrangements are by Henderson Funeral Home.

She was born Sept. 16, 1915, in Madisonville and was a lifetime resident of Santa Anna. She was a retired home health care attendant and a member of New Hope Baptist Church and the Eastern Star.

Survivors include a brother, Roger Collins Sr. of Richmond, Calif.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.


Jose Chavarria
SONORA - Jose Alfredo ``Freddie'' Chavarria, 45, of Sonora died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2000, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Ann's Catholic Church with burial in Sonora Cemetery. Arrangements are by Kerbow Funeral Home.

He was born May 14, 1954, in Sonora. He was an auto mechanic and a Catholic.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Elvira and Joe Garcia of Sonora; four sons, Freddie Chavarria, Stephen Chavarria, David Chavarria and Luke Chavarria, all of San Angelo; two brothers, Leroy Chavarria of Dallas and Chris Chavarria of San Angelo; a sister, Isabel Cervantes of San Antonio; three grandchildren; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.


Edmond Vickers
McCAMEY - Edmond Earl Vickers, 84, of McCamey died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2000, in an Odessa hospital.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. today in Resthaven Cemetery. Arrangements are by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.

He was born July 13, 1915, in Lueders and was a longtime resident of McCamey. He worked for Mobile Oil Co. for 32 years.

Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews, including Bill Brown and Nonita Brown, both of McCamey and Lou Tanner of Crane.


Pedro Porras
BIG SPRING - Pedro M. Porras, 60, of Odessa and formerly of Big Spring, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2000, in an Odessa hospital.

Rosary will be at 8 p.m. today in Myers & Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Thomas Catholic Church with burial in Mount Olive Memorial Park.

He was born Aug. 1, 1939, in Big Spring and was a longtime resident of Odessa. He worked at Webb Air Force Base and was a Catholic.

Survivors include two daughters, Melinda Marquez and Cynthia Porras, both of Big Spring; two sons, Peter Porras Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla., and Robert Porras of Houston; his mother, Dolores Porras of Big Spring; three stepsons, Isrmael Carrillo, Isaisa Carrillo and Arnulfo Enriquez, all of Odessa; four brothers, Pascual Porras of Big Spring, Antonio Porras, Jesus Porras Jr. and Benito Porras, all of Odessa; a sister, Elidora Guerrero of Bossier City, La.; and seven grandchildren.
