Sorry it has been so long since I last followed up. Anyway, my parents are both dead. Several years ago, after posting my info, a cousin from Houston named Pat P. called & it seemed we were related by the information she was able to provide to fill tin he "holes." My pateral grandfather, Silverio Porras Sr. was either from West Texas or perhaps South and was a Texas Ranger. She sent me a photo of him all dressed up for town, complete wuith holster & gun. My paternal grandmother was German & was called "the general," behind her back for obvious reasons. I received an old picture of her also. With my mom dead, I lost whatever knowledge she had, but refused to share with me. I did not mean to hurt her feelings, but she was very old fashioned & divorce was not as prevelant as it is now. She was very ashamed of this as mention the first time. She was very good at keeping secrets. I think she even begin to deny it to herself. Anyway, I'm afraid that's about all I've learned all these years, which isn't much. Please if anyone out there can steer me in the right direction, please help! Thanks, Belinda Porras Meharry
