I found these IGI entries, sons of William ANDERSON & Jean PORTEOUS:
ANDERSON, George C: 1662/11/30 Edinburgh, MLN SCT
ANDERSON, William C: 1665/01/22 Edinburgh, MLN SCT

Not having much luck finding a Jane/Jean b: c1766, but there are certainly PORTEOUS families in the Maybole area ... if you know anything more about the family, please post (children's names could be clue to parents).
