I am the ggggrandson of John Porterfield. I have being doing genealogical research on the Porterfield"s from Kilmalcolm, Scotland. My gggranfather was,one John Porterfield, who came to the United States and settled in the State of Pennsylvania. Myggrandfather was, one Jackson Porterfield B.1822 in North Carolina. He,in turn had several sons, one of which was named Elisha Born in Wythe County,Virginia.I am part of his lineage.I am seeking any information from the Porterfield's from Glasgow or Ireland. My e-mail address is paulport@netscape.net. I am looking forward from hearing from the Porterfield's.
Sincerely,
Rev.Mr. Paul D. Porterfield
