I was there in 1999 looking for some graves.
The Porterfield memorial was great.
Inverness has the Porterfield Prison. The Craig St. (Mother's unmarried name) Argyle St.(my father's middle name) and Porterfield St surrounded the prison. Real interesting.
I loved the area. Wish I was there.
My father (Frank) was the brother to the famous Barter Theater Robert Porterfield of Abongdon, Va.
Kilmacolm was great and the trout fishing was pretty good. I sure felt like I belonged there, especially after visiting Old Kirk.
Thank you for for reminding me.
Yours in Christ
"Scutter"
