One possibility: From Frank Burke Porterfield's book, The Porterfields, "William Calvin Porterfield (1809-1891) m. 1835, Ursula Graham (1816-1890); came to Hardin County with four brothers....."

William and Ursula had a daughter, Josephine. Her entry in the book: "Josephine Porterfield (1855-1889) m. A. N. Blount of Savannah."

The listed death year of 1889 doesn't seem to fit the oldest child of your Josephine being born in 1888. There are no other entries concerning Josephine.

Hope this helps.
