No, sorry. I haven't been able to connect Samuel Berry Porterfield to my family tree. Do you have a copy of Frank Burke Porterfield's 1947 book, The Porterfields? If I read it correctly, Chapter XII, Belmont County Porterfields lists Samuel Berry Porterfield's father as James Porterfield (married Mary Cavender) and gfather as Alexander Porterfield who immigrated from County Donegal, Ireland to Lancaster County, PA with brothers John and James. The book does not connect these brothers to my Porterfield family.

The book has the following entry for Samuel Berry Porterfield (1835-1918): "m., 1863, Agnes Percy, who deceased 1873; Locina DeLong, who died 1923; had lived in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Michigan; had farmed, mined, and preached the Gospel; had been well educated; deceased at Crosswell, Michigan."

The book also has entries for his descendants.

Hope this helps.
