Where did you get the information that the Porterfields were from County Donegal?? Have you ever searched church records there? Do you know if the Porterfields were Catholic or Protestant?

It might be possible to find information on John Alexander and his wife, Susannah there. Maybe we could find her maiden name! Depending upon the source of the information, it opens up some interesting possibilities. . . . don't you think?
