Fran, you must be connected to the George Edward and Olive Porterfield Wilcox line. I am presently researching Olive's Porterfield branch of the family.

It appears that Oliver King and Amy Lindsay divorced, the girls stayed with Amy as shown on the 1930 census. Oliver can be found on the 1930 census in Florida as follows:

1930 United States Federal Census Florida > Dade > Miami > 46 > Page 17 > Apr 23 > N. W. 5th Street
432/114/175 Porterfield, Oliver K.       head       M W 52 M@26        AR AR AR manager, retail store
              Mary L.              wife       F W 55 M@20       FL FL GA
       Gray, Mayme W.              step dau       F W 15 M@15       FL SC FL

I have not found the maiden name of Mary L. but she was married to Samuel Bishop of SC, the father of Mayme W.
Bishop Gray who married Unknown Gray at age 15.
