Hi Katarina: As far as I know, Nicholas Posa was Romanian. His wife's (my great-grandma)maiden name was Bolton (which sounds German to me) but she never spoke much English here in the USA - she spoke Romanian most of the time. My mother's Mom's (Nicholas and Anna's daughter) maiden name was Mary Posa. She married Tryon Mladen who was from Novacella near modern-day Belgrade, Yugoslavia. However, they were Romanians living there near Belgrade. I still have relatives there and in Bucharest too but I don't know them. I know my grandparents spoke two different dialects of Romanian but they could understand each other. I don't know if this helps or not but you could be a distant relative of mine. Thanks.
