I am also a direct descendant of Thomas Posgate. I have quite a lot of his material - marriage cert, death cert, 2x children's birth certs, dau's marriage cert, census refs 1851, 1861, 1881. Best of all I have several Master Mariner docs from Kew in London (certif of competancy etc.) His dau Sarah Eliz married Geo Towns in 1866 in South Shields. I am directly through this male line.
