Ms. Shepherd,
My grandmother, named Jeanne Postelman (spl) born in
Liege, Belgium. Her mother died when she was 9. She and her sibblings were put into convents or orphanages. Jeanne went to London, England where my mother, Denise Blanes, born there in 1919. In 1921, Jeanne visited Liege, discovered her father had remarried and was an alcoholic and was in an asylum, where she visited him there. She had a sister, whom my mother recalled in London, who had a child who walked with a limp. In 1929, my grandmother and mother came to America. My mother was very fond of her aunt.
My mother would be approximately 8 years older than her cousin. Supposely, my mother and her aunt were very fond of each other and the aunt named her daughter Denise after my mother.
Please e-mail me.

Sincerely,

Ja-Niece
