My grandmother was a Posthumas

My grandmother was a Posthumas- Esther Posthumas Beimers- she married Dow Beimers at the beginning of the 20th century (don't have the details at my fingertips), and together they had 9 children, 8 sons and one daughter. My father was Henry James Beimers, and he had two daughters (Barbara and Mary) and one son (James). I would appreciate more information about Esther's parentage, as she died when I was only two, I don't have a lot of information about her. It seems that my parents told me that she arrived here in America when she was a small girl, but I have no facts to back that up.

I realize that Esther was the sister to John and Richard Posthumas's grandfather, and acknowledge that we are cousins. In an interesting aside, recently there was a photo of Richard Posthumas's daughter in Grand Rapids Press, and I recognized her as a cousin before I could even read the small print as to who she was, she resembles our family so strongly!

I would appreciate learning more about our family, and greatly appreciate the work you are doing to assemble this! I would be able to get dates and information if you are interested in our particular family branch. Thanks, Mary
