My Side of the Family came from Iowa. as Far as who we are related to there I have no idea. My Great Grandfather Is Calvin D. Pottorff. They lived in Dodge City at the turn of the 20th Century. William Pottorff was his fathers name.
I have seen Papers that there is a commin Ansestor of a Martin Pottorff.... However he was from Pennsylvinia. Before that the name changes so much that its hard to follow. I personaly have no records tracing before William. I will have to ask my Grandfather if he knows.

My name is Don Pottorff Jr. I live in Stratton Colorado.
Many of our Family lives here and you may find that Stratton has the Highest consentration of Pottorffs then anywhere else. They are all Sons of Calvin though.
Calvins Kids are as follows.
Bill, Homer, Loren (my Grandfather), Ernie, Bob, Kenny, Harley, Niva, Doris, Lela, and Helen.

I wish I knew more but that is all. I hope to be able to trace my line back to the Orignal Martin Pottorff.. its difficult I have both ends of the family but the link in the middle is gone.
