I have Poulsens that moved to Utah from Denmark, but it's spelled differently. Have you tried the Ellis Island site? They have tons of Poulsons and Poulsens.

Our Denmark relatives were: Christian Poulsen, Bertha Hansen, Poul Nielsen, Kirsten Catherine KLIM, Niels Poulsen, Else Catherine Hansen, Anders Jorgensen klein, Fredrikke Sophi Bremer.

Denmark names are so frustrating. Good luck!
