Poulson, Philadelphia, Dutch?

My granfather was John Philip Poulson b. 1916, his brother was Robert. They were born in Philadelphia. The only info I have is that their mother may have been Catherine and that they were "dutch" (probably denmark not germany)- no confirmation of either fact. Any connections would be helpful.
