I have a Charles Augustus Poulson, Sr. of PA in my line (1789-1866). Possible father Zachariah Poulson (m. 1780 Susanna Knorr) who had son Charles Augustus Poulson as evidenced in will of Elizabeth Clarke 1797 Phila. proved 1802.

Poulson Family papers, 1760-1918. Dickinson College Library Collection: The collection includes papers, letters, and notes of Zachariah Poulson and his son, Charles Augustus Poulson, an album of newspaper woodcuts, and a settlement of the estate of General Francis Gurney. Also includes genealogical notes on the Carlyle, Graham, Gurney, Knorr, and Wood families. Correspondents include Horace Binney, Benjamin Rush (1811-1877), Samuel Sartain, John Sargeant (1779-1852), and Noah Webster.
