Hey all! I'm trying to do some geneaology for my mom and i have nothing but dead ends and I was wondering if anyone can help. Let me give you a general background. My grandmother's maiden name is Poulson. She had one brother, John Who was called Jack). Hed died in the 70's. Her father's name was Charles E. Poulson. 12/29/1893 to 6/18/64. now comes the part i am stuck with. His father was Charles Poulson. He was a medic in WW1 and was a "keystone" cop in Germantown (philadelphia) Penna. Before that i don't know. We know that his father fought in the Civil War (American) for the South and died in an Old Soldiers home in Virginia. Supposedly burried the same place as George Pickett. His wife was from Northern Ireland. I found three brothers wich could fit that. One was Thomas H. Poulson (? 1831 to 12/16/1908), the other was James and the third was John. I think the father's name was Charles Poulson but i'm not sure. Also James was married to an Elizabeth Guy.
I'm stuck form Charles Poulson(my grandmother's grandfather) on back. I have no coat of arms, no leads, no nothing. My grandmother her dad said something about all being form Ireland, her grandmother said it was Denmark or something. I dunno, but any info anyone has, whether directly related or just general info will help me immensely. e mail me if ya can or
Thank you ever so much for your help.
Here is some additional info which may help. My grandmother's parents: Charles E. Poulson married Anna Layhen
his dad was Charles Poulson married Mary Lodge. He had one brother John. The regiment the three brother's were in was the 46th regiment.
