Jane, you may have just connected everyone. Do you have the date and name for the Dyer who married a Poulton? There is a John Dyer who is adjacent to 80 acres for John Harris Great Levels on Rich Creek in Greenbrier Co WV 1780. This is near where I believe Issac Poulton had land. A Harris family intermarries with Gromer/Groomer in Missouri. There are a lot of entries for Dyer/Dryer in the area circa 1780 to 1796 during the time frame my family was there.
