Joan,

A Robert R. Pouncey is listed as serving as Justice of the Peace in Monroe County, AL on May 20, 1850. The 1850 Monroe County census listed an R.? Pouncy, age 21 with a female named Elizabeth, age 39, and a female named Martha, age 6, living in the same household, which was numbered 771 in the order of visitation. The middle initial for R. Pouncey was either R or B. The 1860 Wilkinson County Mississippi census included an R. R. Pouncy, age 30, born Alabama, wife M.T. Pouncey, age 23. There is also a marriage record in Wilkinson County for Robert R. Pouncey and Mississippi T. Hart on 2/12/1860.
