Within the next few weeks, cousin Temple Pouncey and I will publish a comprehensive history of the Pouncey family in America. This history begins with John Pouncey in colonial Virginia in the 17th century, and follows the family as it migrated south, first to South Carolina, then into Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, Arkansas, Tennessee, Louisiana and Texas. It is the result of more than 35 years of research into the Pouncey family. Temple and I are both direct descendents of Anthony Pouncey. If you are interested in obtaining a copy of this publication please contact me directly.
