Hi Michele, I am also of the townsend line. My direct ancestor was Lite Townsend who was born in 1735 and married Delilah pouncey in 1759. I found some info on, It gave me an approx. birthdate of 1746 in Scotland and a death date of 1785. thats all I know about Delilah but there is a book that is called the Seven Townsend bros. of Tx that talks alot about the Townsends in Va, SC, then Florida then how 7 of the brothers moved to tx and helped to settle it by fighting in the battle of San Jacinto. They also were law men and explorers. I hope we can connect if you need any more info. Thanks , Marsha
