Hi Barry (and any other POUNDER researcher),
What is the earliest date you have for the Pounder family in the 'North-East'? The reason I ask is because the surname I have been researching for some 20+ years phonetically has a similarity to POUNDER/POUNDERS, and has appeared in Gt Yarmouth in the late 1600s, when a George Pondich from Hartlepool married down there. If you have come across any PONDICH/POWDICH or other names whilst you have been looking for POUNDER/POUNDERS we may be able to help each other
Hope I may be of some help to your research?
John
