I recently discovered that the National Archives of Canada has put some immigration records on the web for the period 1925-1935. While searching for my grandfather Edwin, I came across entries for a Percy Edwin and Percy E. POUNDER arriving in Canada in 1925 and 1926 respectively. The site gives you the date of arrival, ship's name, age and nationality. The reference number is also given so that you can order photocpies of the manifest. I have ordered the photocopies for my grandfather's ship but it hasn't arrived yet. I am hoping that the manifest may have more info that would lead me to his family in England. Thought that this might also be of some help to you.
