From the ages, Isabella Longtoft (?b 1835) and Elizabeth Longtoft could be the sisters of my GG grandfather Ralph (b.1829).

With Ralph and Isabella POUNDER listed as their grandparents, I presume I am still missing the girls' mother, my GGG grandmother (also Isabella). Perhaps she had died??

The Matthew Longtoft you mentioned being a Linen Weaver in 1851 is maybe the same one I found listed as a draper in 1823 - my GGG grandfather. The age certainly fits and the occupations (at face value anyway) seem related. I'm presuming he was a widower by 1851 and his younger children were living with their maternal grandparents - also Ralph and Isabella to make it completely confusing!

I'll have to get into the English records at some stage - very new to this I'm afraid, but really appreciate the information, thank you. Good luck in your own POUNDER quest!
