Hi Maggie!

I just happened to read your message, and although it was written a while back, I'm hoping that you are still out there.
I am also researching my Powles/Powless arboriginal family tree. My great grandfather, David John Powless, was full blooded Mohawk Indian. He lived on the First Nations, Bay of Quinte Tyendinaga Reservation.
What I found so curious about your letter, is that my great grandmother, Rose Hannah (nee: Hawkins)Powless, also lived in Hallimand, Ontario, like your g-grandmother! (but she did so before marrying my G-grandfather). After doing some research, I discovered that in the early 1900's, the Tyendinaga Rez. was partially in Hallimand County.
You didn't mention your great grandmothers name.
Maybe we could help each other out?

Will be awaiting your reply.
