Hi Cousin,
The information that I have on the parents of John and Lurena Harris is limited to what I found on Rootsweb, which shows him to be of German Descent. Perhaps you have seen this one too. My ggrandmother, Irene Isabell Powless Melton, always told us that the Powless side of the family was Indian, tho I have not been able to document this either. She is the one who gave me the names of John and Lurena so I feel confident that I am on the right track up to this point.
