Hi Gary,
My grandmother was Adelaide Marguerite Annie Pownall. She was born in about 1875, in England, I think. She married Alexander William Morison, in South Africa, I think. They had three sons and then he died in Pretoria in 1903. She brought her sons back to England where they were educated at Christ's Hospital. Grandmother had a cushion rental business at Wimbledon before WW II. She died at Sefton Lodge, Twickenham, Middlesex Co. on 20 Sept. 1955. Unfortunately that is all I have ever been able to discover about her. I think she was related to a shipping family. Do you have any idea where I should be looking for her origins? I have been unable to find a birth record or her parent's names. Any leads will be gratefully accepted.

Thank you,
