Hi Lester and Francina Christina your wife. You'd be my cousins, descended from the same Royal Artillery NCO who left Errol, Perthshire, Scotland and founded the majority of the south african Powrie branch.

I can give you the whole chart and loads of contacts! I'm still waiting to get to S.A. to do my own research and meet Petr and all the others who still live there but I'm still finishing the Scottish work!

You can reach me directly at Bruinswood@aol.com and I'll be happy to answer question about what our name means in Gaelic and anything about the two castles that bear our name, the coat of arms. I've transcribed records in Scotland, but I found Robert's discharge record who served in S.A. and which ship brought them from England to S.A.
