The original posting was for a James who immigrated to Australia. The one you site was the brother of my great grandfather in Canada. James 1826-1912 Lundie Scotland?

James Oliver Powrie is yet another James who is from a family of Millers (profession) who came to Canada from Moray, Scotland. His descendants live in Sass. and Montana.

I'd be only too happy to Hook you up to relatives of any James. While Powrie is a rare name, we "cornered the market in James, Roberts and Davids.

I'm at bruinswood@aol.com or me and my Powrie people and places can be found on facebook. I'm the one publishing the Powrie Newsletter and have contacts in 37 countries.

It's usually best for me if you list a woman's maiden name who married the Powrie. I have an old photo of the Oliver sisters, who married into the Powrie line and gave their maiden name as a middle name as per Scottish naming tradition.

Cuzin Mary
